Synthesis, characterization and ethanol vapor sensing performance of SnO2/Graphene composite film

Abstract: High performing sensor consisting of SnO2/Gn nanocomposite was fabricated using a novel one-step in-situ sonochemical method. The reducing properties of SnCl2 was used to reduce graphite oxide (GO) so that SnCl2 could be transformed to SnO2 on the basal plane of graphene. The combined characterizations including X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier Transformed Infra-Red spectroscopic data (FTIR) indicated the successful formation of SnO2/Gn composites. Current-voltage (I-V) c… Show more

“…The resulting GO was reduced by heating at 250°C in air for 5-10 min to obtain reduced graphene oxide, rGO. 12,10 Preparation of Reduced Graphene Oxide/Rubber Nanocomposite At first, rGO dispersion was prepared by well mixing rGO in water. While stirring the mixture NR latex and polymeric dispersant agent is added to form a nanocomposite.…”

“…16 Moreover, for gas sensing materials, the composites of SnO 2 exhibit excellent sensing properties such as high response, low-cost, fast response and recovery, which have attracted much interest in the past few years. [17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24] However, among these sensors, the poor electrical characteristics prevent their direct applications. g-C 3 N 4 is an organic and nontoxic semiconductor, which has attracted much attention, exhibiting excellent photoactivity, photocatalysis and electron transport.…”
