“…Upon impregnating with metals the rate of reaction is multiplied enormously due to the synergism obtained between CeO 2 and metals. There is significant amount of work reported for various types of CeO 2 as support for Ni‐based mono and bi metallic catalysts at high temperature region ,. Kawi's group have reported that the small crystallite size of CeO 2 is able to enhance the dispersion of metal species.…”

“…Similar to Na doping, K as an alkali metal dopant to Ni‐based catalysts is also used extensively in order to enhance WGS activity and product selectivity. Various doping amounts of K to Ni powder, Ni/CeO 2 , catalysts, LaNiO 3 perovskites and M−FeOx (M=Cr, Mn, Co, Ni and Cu) structures were investigated for WGS reaction. For different Ni‐based systems i. e., Ni/CeO 2 and LaNiO 3 perovskites, Kawi‘s group, has observed that doping K to Ni‐based catalysts enhanced the reducibility of the catalyst.…”

“…The prepared support was calcined at 400°C for 4 h [36]. According to previous research in our laboratory, the 10Ni-6K/ CeO 2 (BET = 4.23 m 2 g -1 ) [35] catalyst was prepared by impregnation of Ni(NO 3 ) 2 .6H 2 O and KNO 3 on the CeO 2 support, followed by drying and calcination similar to the support. The 10Ni-6K/CeO 2 catalyst was named Ni-K/CeO 2 for short.…”

“…In this work, nickel metal-based catalysts on a cerium oxide support were fabricated and used in the MTS reaction to evaluate their activities. Additionally, the alkali metal potassium was loaded on the Ni/CeO 2 catalysts to decrease the methanation side-reaction [35]. Also, in this study, EPD of the Ni-K/CeO 2 catalysts from various solvents was performed and the suspension characteristics were investigated in order to achieve the best catalyst coating for the MTS reaction in a microreactor.…”
