Synthesis, crystal structure, and antimicrobial activity of a novel chlorido-bridged dinuclear manganese(III) complex derived from N,N′-bis(5-methylsalicylidene)diethylenetriamine
Abstract:A novel chlorido-bridged dinuclear manganese(III) complex, [Mn 2 L 2 (μ-Cl)Cl 2 )]·Cl·0.5CH 3 OH, where L is the zwitterionic form of N,N'-bis(5-methylsalicylidene)diethylenetriamine, has been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, and single crystal X-ray crystallographic determination. The crystal of the complex is monoclinic: space group C2/c, a = 20.0300 (9), b = 22.8494(8), c = 22.127(1) Å, β = 112.882(3)°, V = 9330.0(7) Å 3 , Z = 8. The asymmetric unit of the compound contains two dinuclea… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
