“…The substitutive nomenclature of IUPAC is not easy to use. For example, compound 3 in which the trivalent metal is substituted by three hydrogen atoms, is named 29H,31H,35H-19,5-(nitrilo [1,3] Gd, In, Tl); reported in the literature. Our numbering scheme is used for all structures rather than that adopted for substituted phthalocyanine macrocycles 4 ine.…”

“…[5] Janczac and Kubiak obtained other green bicyclophthalocyanine complexes, M III (C 48 H 24 N 13 ) 3, with indium(III), other bicyclic ligands already reported in the literature are named (1, and (1,. The molecular structure of Bi (1, shows the coordination polyhedron around the bismuth atom, made up of the six isoindole nitrogen atoms of the macrocycle, as a strongly distorted trigonal prism. The two Bi−N iso bonds of the bridge and two of the four Bi−N iso bonds of the (Pc) ring have bond lengths between 2.40 and 2.47 A ˚.…”

“…Unfortunately, due to a limited amount of synthesized samples, XRD data of Y 2 Pc 3 molecules neither of a single crystal nor a thin film was obtained. However, the XRD data, such as for Bi 2 Pc 3 formed by a sublimed-crystallization, Cd 2 (OAc) 3 (Oac = 1,4,8,11,15,18,22,25-octakis(hexyl)phthalocyanine) formed by a recrystallization from a solvant, and Tb 2 (obPc) 3 (obPc = dianion of 2,3,9,10,16,17,23, 24-octabutoxyphthalocyanine) in the shape of a single-crystal, were reported, in which we can see a common Pc stacking configuration. For the Bi 2 Pc 3 case, the middle Pc ligand is rotated 38.3° with respect to the top and bottom Pcs.…”

“…As we discussed above, this suggests that the lower Pc ligand, which attaches to the substrate, has the same bonding configuration as that of the H 2 Pc molecule. To consider the rotations of the middle and top Pc ligand, we examined reported XRD measurements for triple decker molecules, such as Bi 2 Pc 3 ,95 Cd 2 (OAc) 3 (Oac = 1,4,8,11,15,18,22,25‐octakis(hexyl)phthalocyanine),96 and Tb 2 (obPc) 3 (obPc = dianion of 2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24‐octabutoxyphthalocyanine) 55. A common Pc stacking configuration is observed for the triple‐decker Pc molecules.…”
