Synthesis of a surface mounted metal–organic framework on gold using a Au–carbene self-assembled monolayer linkage

Abstract: Carbene based self-assembled monolayers are demonstrated to be effective supports for forming highly stable surface-mounted metal–organic frameworks on gold substrates.
