Synthesis of efficient matched filter for polyphase sequences

Abstract

A new class of polyphase sequences with ideal periodic autocorrelation function called the generalized chirp like (GCL) sequences was defined in [1.2]. These sequences have specific aperiodic autocorrelation function that is very useful in the pulse compression radars. For the radars applications it is very important to find an efficient implementation of the corresponding matched filter.It was done in [2] with relation to a matched filter for the GCL sequences in general case as well as special cases for P4 and Frank codes. The essence of this filter implementation is using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). The synthesis of the filter for more general GCL model signal and his special cases P4 and Frank models in this paper have performed. The improvement of the filter efficiency was echieved by implementation of the Fourier transform calculation in moving window (MDFT).
