“…As shown, one pair of redox peaks appear resulted from the formation and the reduction of AgCl [6]. The electrochemical reaction is described by the equation: AgCl + e Ð Ag + Cl À [6,28]. When chloride ions react with the Ag atoms in composites, silver chloride precipitate is formed on the electrode surface and consequently produces an oxidation wave on the cyclic voltammetry curves, while reduction of the silver chloride precipitate leads to generation of a reduction current and correspondingly a reduction wave is produced.…”
