Synthesis, self-assembly and electrochemical behavior of disulphide derivatised mesoporphyrin on gold electrodes

Abstract: Disulphide derivatised mesoporphyrin (DSDMP) and its cobalt complex Co(II)DSDMP were conveniently synthesized and successfully immobilized onto gold surface by monolayer self-assembly of disulfide. The modified electrode was characterized by Infrared Spectrometer (IR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and confirmed electrochemically by cyclic voltammogram (CV) and differential pulse voltammogram (DPV).
