“…Subsequent reiteration of the T-R sequence model has combined the marine sequence boundary of Johnson and Murphy (1984) with the fluvial sequence boundary of the depositional sequence model. In this revised definition, the T-R sequence model uses a composite sequence boundary which includes the subaerial unconformity and the marine portion of the maximum regressive surface (Embry and Johannessen, 1992;Figures 4, 23, & 24). This model emphasizes the importance of subaerial unconformities, as originally outlined by the depositional sequence school (e.g., Haq et al, 1987;Van Wagoner et al, 1988, 1990Christie-Blick, 1991), and the ease of recognition of maximum regressive surfaces in shallow-water systems.…”

“…Such a log shape is com monly con nected with the dom i nance of for mation of ac com mo da tion space over sed i ment in put and with a rel a tive sea level rise. The max i mum re gres sive sur face can be lo cated where the lithological trend changes from prograding up wards to ret ro grad ing up ward (Embry and Johannessen, 1993). This sit u a tion could in di cate the ex is tence of sev eral depositional se quences within the NF.…”

“…Existem vários modelos de sequência em uso, criados por diferentes autores para adequar o modelo clássico de sequências, elaborado por Sloss (1963), a condições específicas (Galloway 1989;Van Wagoner et al 1988;Embry & Johannessen 1992;Hunt & Tucker 1992;Catuneanu 2006). A elaboração deste trabalho contou com a aplicação do modelo estratigráfico apresentado por Holz (2012) Van Wagoner et al (1988).…”
