Table of Isotopes

Abstract: In most cases the class is determined by evaluating the uniqueness of the assignment through chemical separation, reaction type and yield considerations, genetic relationships, arid type of radiation. In a few cases newer techniques have been used. The term "m. s. " in the second column coincid. = measurements with gamma-gammacoincidence counters (for information on decay schemedata not necessarily used in the table); Be-y-e reaction =measurement of neutron energy from Be-y-n reaction;D-y-n reaction = measurem… Show more

“…Measurements of the radioactive decay of the first two of these nuclides gave for the half-lives Nau",5.0 hr. and I<", 12.3 hr., in good agreenlent with accepted values (16,14). Two separately prepared sanlples of Rbs6 gave values of 18.7 and 18.5 days for the half-life.…”

“…11 The above-mentioned 9-minute, 26-hour, 40-minute, 130-day, and 10-day activities recently have been given the evaluations B, A, D, C, and Z>, respectively. 12 It is the purpose of this paper to investigate more thoroughly these activities by using deuteron, slow neutron, and fast neutron bombardments of tin samples which have been electromagnetically enriched in Sn 120, Sn 122, and Sn 124, respectively.…”

“…These databases are complete and reliable back to the early 1960's. For earlier references, several editions of the Table of Isotopes were used [8][9][10][11][12][13]. A good reference for the discovery of the stable isotopes was the second edition of Aston's book "Mass Spectra and Isotopes" [14].…”
