Tar Characteristics as Influenced by Air flow Rate Changes in a Downdraft Gasifier

Abstract: Tar, as is well-known, can affect the gasification operating system, so tar generation should be reduced. By adjusting the air flow rate, this study is expected to limit tar generation. This research will use wood pellets to limit the amount of tar produced during gasification. In experiments, wood pellets contained 2% moisture and air flow rates ranged 40, 60 and 80 Liters/min.
