Abstract: Background and Purpose:: Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α and-γ (PPARα/γ) are known to play crucial roles in acute liver injury (ALI). Icariside Ⅱ (ICS Ⅱ), a natural flavonoid compound derived from Herba Epimedii, confers neuroprotection with PPARα/γ induction potency.
