Abstract:BackgroundRecent in vitro and in vivo data show that Tau‐RNA complexes contribute to neuronal dysfunction. However, whether these complexes appear in human tauopathy brains, and whether they are inherently toxic remains unknown. Clarifying the dynamics of tau‐RNA interactions and its relevance in disease would reveal critical and urgently needed information to determine novel therapeutic targets.MethodHuman Alzheimer’s and age‐matched non‐demented control brains were subjected to enhanced cross‐linking immunop… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
