“…The species T. wallichiana is considered as an essential medicinal plant, as it contains many therapeutic lead compounds, as shown in Table 1. It exhibits caryophyllene as a significant compound which has been reported to act as an immunomodulatory, antimicrobial, antitumor, analgesic, antipyretic, anticonvulsant, antifeedent, and antiedemic agents (Khan et al, 2006; Nisar et al, 2008; Rahman et al, 2013).
