Abstract:This study investigated the extrapulmonary pathogenesis of a novel Mycobacteroides abscessus subsp. massiliense strain in a young adult, manifesting as a chronic cutaneous infection. Epidemiological investigation proposed pathogen transmission via contaminated Java apple fruit, likely facilitated by tree shrews.
