Technology for Rapid Detection of Cyromazine Residues in Fruits and Vegetables: Molecularly Imprinted Electrochemical Sensors

Abstract: Cyromazine is an insect growth regulator insecticide with high selectivity and is widely used in the production and cultivation of fruits and vegetables. In recent years, incidents of excessive cyromazine residues in food have occurred frequently, and it is urgent to establish an accurate, fast, and convenient method for the detection of cyromazine residues to ensure the safety of edible agricultural products. To achieve rapid detection of cyromazine residues, we prepared a molecularly imprinted electrochemica… Show more

“…Furthermore, a few have presented their study about the impact of toxic elements in soil [ [37] , [38] , [39] ]. The paper's authors [ 40 , 41 ] proposed sensor-based devices to detect harmful chemicals in fruits and vegetables. They applied the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NVDI), Molecularity Imprinted Electrochemical Sensors, and the hyperspectral imaging technique.…”

“…The electrochemical sensor is a potent sensor with low power requirements, making it ideal for space applications. Another crucial factor is the biosensor's price (Maity & Sahu, 2022; Peng et al, 2022). When created, the biosensor must be affordable and accessible to the general public to identify various ailments.…”

“…Electrochemical biosensors track changes in electrical parameters like potential, current, or impedance that arise from recognition events. The biosensor should be compact to fit into the evolving electronics environment (as portable) (Peng et al, 2022). A semi‐skilled individual should be able to use the gadget; hence the design should be simple.…”
