Abstract:The overall gain of a scintillation detector is temperature-dependent, leading to a drift in the measured gamma energy spectrum with changes in temperature. To mitigate this effect, a temperature drift correction is essential prior to conducting gamma spectrum analysis. In this study, the detector gain ratio is determined by comparing the positions of the same background peak across different spectra. Subsequently, the original spectrum is adjusted accordingly to obtain a gamma spectrum free from temperature d… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
