Temporary stratification promotes large greenhouse gas emissions in a shallow eutrophic lake

Abstract: Abstract. Shallow lakes and ponds undergo frequent temporary thermal stratification. How this affects greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is moot, with both increased and reduced GHG emissions hypothesised.
