“…The diethyl ether extract of P. diversifolia was subjected to an extensive chromatographic process to obtain three new compounds (1 -3; Figure 1), and several known ones. The latter were identified as neofuranoplagiochilal (8) previously found in an unidentified Tahitian Plagiochila species; [5] furanoplagiochilal (10) first described in P. yokogurensis [6] and in P. fruticosa; [7] the diterpenoid (13S)-13-hydroxylabda-8, 14-diene (4) was isolated from Jungermannia appressifolia [8] and from J. hattoriana; [9] Fusicogigantone A (7) and fusicogigantone B (5) isolated from Pleurozia gigantea, [10] P. cristata, [11] P. corrugata [12] and from Chandonanthus hirtellus; [13] Plagiochiline B (9) found in P. hattoriana, [14] P. ovalifolia, [15] P. pulcherrima [16] and P. micropterys [17] and 3a,14-diacetoxy-2-hydroxybicyclogermacrene (6) reported in P. fruticosa. [18] The common plant constituents ent-spathulenol, trans-nerolidol, phytol, (+)-globulol and a-tocopherol were also isolated.…”

“…Plagiochin E (43) and F (43) were C7 -C8 dihydroisoplagiochin A and 10-hydroxy C7 -C8 dihydroisoplagiochin A, respectively. The molecular formula, C 28 H 23 O 4 Cl, of 44 was established by CIMS, which indicated two peaks at m/z 458 and 460 with a ratio of ca 100 : 35. This indicated that 44 was suggested to be isoplagiochin D monochlorinated compound.…”

“…Marchantin A (8a) has also been isolated from Marchantia paleacea var. diptera [26a,26c], M. plicata [35] and M. tosana [26a], which belong to the Marchantiaceae, Plagiochasma appendiculatum to the Aytoniaceae [26b] and Wiesnerella denudata to the Conocepharaceae [36].…”
