“…Compound 4 was tentatively assigned to ethyl citrate, which gave a [M – H] − ion at m/z 219 with fragment ion at m/z 111 in the MS/MS experiment caused by the loss of ethyl acetyl and two water groups ( 65 ). Compound 30 was identified as phytuberin, a sesquiterpenoid found in other Solanaceae species ( 77 ), which showed a [M – H] − ion at m/z 293 in the ESI-MS mode and daughter MS/MS ions at m/z 236, 221, and 192, indicating the losses of acetate, acetate, and CH 3 , and isopropyl acetate groups, respectively, as described by Serralheiro et al ( 75 ).
