TerrainIntelGIS: A Geographic Intelligence System to Support Decision-Making in Environmental and Natural Disaster Scenarios

Abstract

Environmental and natural disasters can inflict catastrophic harm upon both urban and rural landscapes. Consequently, the imperative emerges for a streamlined administration of resources allocated to rehabilitate these afflicted areas. In this context, the application of data mining techniques emerges as a pivotal tool in fortifying this endeavor. In this paper, we present the TerrainIntelGis, a Geographical Intelligence System (GIS) data-mining based, developed to serve as an additional tool for supporting decision-making by public institutions and private companies in allocating these resources used in environmental and natural disaster scenarios.
