Abstract:Background: Scar size is critical to left ventricular (LV) remodeling and adverse outcomes following myocardial infarction (MI). Late Gadolinium-enhancement (LGE) in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging is the gold standard for assessing MI size. Texture-based probability mapping (TPM) is a novel machine learning-based analysis of LGE images. This proof-of-concept study investigates the potential clinical implications of temporal changes in TPM during the first year following an acute revascularized MI. Methods:… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
