“…In order to improve the objectivity and rationality of the comprehensive evaluation results, this study adopted the CVWMM based on different fingerprint weights. 37 The theoretical essence of CVWMM is to calculate the weight factor for each fingerprint fusion by recognizing the degree of difference among the samples detected by the three fingerprints, and finally to obtain an objective and exact parameter weight for the fused fingerprints. In CVWMM, the coefficient of variation (V i ) of a fingerprint is first calculated according to eqn (15), and then the weight factor (f wi ) of a fingerprint is calculated according to eqn (16), where s i and x i denote the standard deviation (SD) and the mean of the ith fingerprint, respectively.…”

“…However, the differences among the cultivars were still not well exposed because of the limited sensitivity of HPLC. Previous studies have also applied LC-MS combined with chemometrics to discriminate between the geographic regions or cultivars of the flowers but these studies were hampered by insufficient sample sizes, limited compound identification, unexplored chemical diversity, and inefficient QC marker screening [15][16][17].…”

“…16 Based on this, this study developed an on-line HPLC-DPPH free radical scavenging assay combined with flow injection analysis for the rapid determination of total antioxidant activity of FS. 17,18 In order to realize accurate quality control of TCM, it is necessary to quantitatively analyze the components of multiple markers in the fingerprints. In this paper, on the basis of singlemarker quantitative analysis of multi-components (QAMS), 19 combined with the theory of quantitative fingerprint of TCM, we proposed the multi-markers assay by mono-linear method (MAM), 20 which is a method to establish multiple standard curves at the same time by using unified chromatographic conditions, and then use a single standard curve to accurately quantify multiple markers separately.…”
