The Association and Formation Constants for CuCl2 Stoichiometric Complexes with (<i>E</i>)-3-(2-Benzylidene Hydrazinyl)-3-oxo-N-(thiazol-2-yl)Propanamide in Absolute Ethanol Solution at 294.15 K

Abstract: The association constants and Gibbs free energies for CuCl 2 with (E)-3-(2-benzylidene hydrazinyl)-3-oxo-N-(thiazol-2-yl)propanamide (H 2 BH) had been calculated by using the conductometric titration curves in absolute ethanol at 294.15 K. New equation was applied to determine the association constant for 1:2 asymmetric salts. Different stoichiometric complexes were obtained on drawing the relation between (/\ m ) and (M:L). The association free energies that were evaluated for CuCl 2 -ligand complexes were sm… Show more

“…The observed bands in the IR spectrum of H2L are listed in Table . The bands appeared at 3285, 3180, 3051, 1750, 1655, 1675, 1603, and 689 cm −1 are assigned to υ(NH) 1 , υ(NH) 2 , υ(CH2, υ(C=O)1, υ(C=O) 2 , υ(C=O) 3 , υ(C=N), and υ(C=N) py . Also, in H 2 L 1 H NMR spectrum, there are two main signals at 11.27 and 12.23 ppm ascribed to the (NH)1 and (NH)2 protons, respectively (Scheme S1).…”

“…The ion flotation was considered as a simple, economic, greatly efficient, and rapid quantitative method that attracted a significant attention from researchers . In continuation of our work, Cu(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II) complexes of 3‐(2‐(2‐oxo‐2 H ‐chromene‐3‐carbonyl)hydrazono)‐ N ‐(pyridin‐2‐yl)butanamide were synthesized and characterized . The mode of chelation was elucidated on the basis of several spectroscopic and physical methods.…”

“…In some isolated complexes (2, 3, 4, 10, 11, 12) there are two bands observed in the range of (1386–1415) and (1454–1506) cm −1 assignable to the ν as (O–C–O) and ν s (O–C–O) of the acetate group, the difference (91–105) cm −1 between those two bands indicating the bidentate bonding for the acetate group . While in other complexes (6, 7, 8) these two bands were observed in the range of (1337–1347) and (1524–1528) cm −1 with the difference (181–191) cm −1 indicating the monodentate bonding for the acetate group.…”

“…In the IR spectrum of H 2 L (Table 2) , the bands observed at 1603, 689, 1750, 1655, 1675, 3285, 3180 and 3051 cm -1 are attributed to υ(C=N), υ(C=N) py , υ(C=O) 1 , υ(C=O) 2 , υ(C=O) 3 , υ(NH) 1 , υ(NH) 2 , υ(CH 2 ) [35][36][37]. Also, in 1 H NMR spectrum of H 2 L there are two signals observed at 11.27 and 12.23 ppm ascribed to the (NH) 1 and (NH) 2 protons, respectively (Scheme 2).…”
