Abstract:Heyde's syndrome is defined as a combination of gastrointestinal bleeding from a gastrointestinal angiodysplasia in patients with aortic stenosis. An acquired von Willebrand factor deficiency secondary to aortic stenosis is considered to be the major abnormality in Heyde's syndrome.
