The asymmetric CFT landscape in with extended supersymmetry

Abstract: We study asymmetric simple-current extensions of Gepner models in dimensions D = 4, 6, 8 with at least eight supercharges in the right-moving sector. The models obtained in an extensive stochastic computer search belong to a small number of different classes. These classes can be categorized as dimensional reductions, asymmetric orbifolds with (−1) F L , extra gauge enhancement and as coming from the super Higgs-effect. Models in the latter class are particularly interesting, as they may correspond to non-geom… Show more

“…In the first paper [19], we analyzed this question in the context of Calabi-Yau compactifications and in a second paper [20], we confirmed the correspondence in more controlled setups with more supersymmetry. The results are encouraging and suggest that there is indeed a deep correspondence between asymmetric CFTs and gauged supergravities.…”

“…the appendix of [20]) all other breaking patterns can be easily deduced analogously to the above example. Clearly when a superpotential is induced by the gaugings/fluxes the situation gets a little more involved.…”
