Abstract: Helicobacter pylori is a pathogenic spiral-shaped, microaerophilic, gram-negative bacterium, that inhabits the human stomach. Infection is usually acquired during childhood and always elicits an acute immune response that is, however, inefficient in bacteria clearance.
