Abstract: The highly conserved CHCHD2 and CHCHD10 are small mitochondrial proteins residing in the intermembrane space. Recently, mutations in theCHCHD2andCHCHD10genes have been linked to severe disorders, including Parkinson’s disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
