Abstract:Three different synthetic approaches to three different classes of oligomeric and polymeric inositol and inositol-like derivatives are presented: Grubbs cross-metathesis polymerization, Lewis acid catalyzed epoxide opening, and head-to-tail Diels-Alder polymerization. All three approaches lead to the formation of oligomers and polymers. The oligomers/polymers formed range from three (low-molecular-weight fraction of Diels-Alder polymerization) to 60 (Lewis acid catalyzed polymerization) repeats of inositol or … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
