The Climate Characteristics and Forecast of Fog in Shanxi Province

Abstract: Abstract. Using the observed fog data in Shanxi Province during 1961 to 2010, the distribution and longtime variability trends have been analyzed. Results show that the fog mainly occurs in the southeastern areas and decreases towards northwest. 40 percent fogs have occurred in fall, 26 percent in summer. The trends of the annual fog occur days are positive.
