The Contribution of a Collagen Patch Coated With Fibrin Glue in Sealing Upper Gastrointestinal Defects: An Experimental Study

Abstract: Background/Aim: We aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of sealing primary upper gastrointestinal (GI) perforations with a collagen patch coated with fibrin glue (Tachosil ® ). Materials and Methods: Thirty New Zealand rabbits were used in this study. An iatrogenic gastric perforation was created, and primary repair was performed on the control group.
