The controversy over intellectual property in nineteenth-century France: a comparative analysis between Proudhon and Walras

Abstract: The debate over intellectual property in nineteenth-century France was structured as follows: liberal economists advocated a system of perpetual intellectual property rights, while socialist thinkers called for their total abolition.
