“…Here, job control and coworker support were not related to work engagement, which was inconsistent with previous findings on psychiatric nurses (Hontake & Ariyoshi, 2018 (Hasan & Tumah, 2019;Magnavita & Heponiemi, 2012), and how to cope with them has been an important issue for organizations and individuals. In this respect, our findings suggest that reward and supervisor support may work more effectively as facilitators of work engagement, especially in a demanding environment.…”

“…The results demonstrate that the positive impacts of reward and supervisor support on work engagement are strengthened when psychiatric nurses face the patients' unpleasant attitude towards nurses (i.e., when job demand is high). In this respect, our findings suggest that reward and supervisor support may work more effectively as facilitators of work engagement, especially in a demanding environment.…”

Otro estudio observó que los enfermeros que realizan un gran número de tareas, además de las responsabilidades habituales de enfermería, tenían un aumento acelerado en el nivel de estrés, desencadenando depresión (13) .…”

“…Newly qualified nurses are vulnerable during the transition period and require opportunities to develop competence and confidence in their ability to practise independently (Cleary, Horsfall, Muthulakshmi, Happell, & Hunt, ). During the transition period, newly qualified nurses also form decisions about their intent to commit to their profession (Boamah & Laschinger, ) and may decide to change careers if they are struggling to adapt to a stressful work environment (Hasan & Tumah, ). This is a costly exercise for healthcare organizations that invest time and money into new graduates, only to have them leave nursing practise after a short period of time.…”
