Background :The occurrence of menstruation or menstruation is a combination of genitalia and complex hormonal stimulation originating from the chain of the hypothalamus,pituitary, ovary axis. Lack of knowledge about menstrual disorders will of course have an impact on teenagers not having adequate life skills so they are at risk of having unhealthy behavior and attitudes, especially regarding menstruation, because during this period teenagers experience important development, namely cognitive, emotional and social. Epistemologically, knowledge of menstrual disorders is a way of thinking for young women in determining and gaining knowledge by using the abilities embedded within them by using their senses, reason, intuition and also reason.Purposes : This research aims to determine the level of knowledge of young women about menstrual disorders at SMA 1 Sukoharjo in 2024. Methods : This type of research is descriptive with a cross sectional approach. Research was conducted on all young women in class XI science regarding menstrual disorders at SMA 1 Sukoharjo in 2024. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling with a sample size of 25% taken from the entire population of 119 female students, namely 30 respondents. Data analysis uses frequency distribution. Results : The level of knowledge of young women in class XI Science about menstrual disorders at SMA 1 Sukoharjo are The level of knowledge in the sufficient category was 17 young women (56.7%), The level of knowledge in the good category was 8 young women (26.7%) and a small portion of the level of knowledge in the poor category was 5 young women (16.6%).
Conclusion:The level of knowledge of young women increases after receiving information about menstrual disorders.
