Abstract:Introduction: Hypokalemia is common disorder characterized by low plasma potassium levels (<3.5 mEq / L). Hypokalemia can be caused by genetic disorders. Bartter syndrome and Gitelman syndrome are rare genetic disorders that cause damage to the tubular kidneys.
