The Differences Analysis of Temperature, Salinity, and Dissolved Oxygen of Aedes aegypti Breeding Place Water in Endemic and Non-Endemic Areas

Abstract: The study aims to determine differences in water quality of breeding sites in endemic and non-endemic areas. The method used is quantitative observational analytic with a case control study design. Case group was water parameters in endemic areas and the control group is in non-endemic areas. 43 samples of breeding water were taken from each area then water quality measurements were carried out. Data were analyzed using independent t-test. The results obtained mean temperature in endemic areas 27.51 ± 0.739 oC… Show more

“…The water temperature in the brooding area is 27.6 0 C. The average maximum number of larvae detected in the breeding water at this temperature was still within the range where Ae. aegypti grows most effectively 53 . The water temperature where the Aedes aegypti mosquito breeds often ranges from 26.5 0 C to 29.3 0 C 49 .…”

“…Hasil penelitian Hidayah, et al (9), didapat hasil suhu air tempat perindukan adalah 27,6 0 C. Suhu ini masih dalam range suhu optimum perkembangan larva Ae. aegypti, menyebabkan jumlah rata-rata larva yang ditemukan di air perindukan tersebut paling tinggi.…”
