This immense operation is being funded, prioritised and supported by the Dutch Flood Protection Programme (DFPP), an alliance of regional water authorities and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. The work will be executed in nearly 300 projects located throughout the country on the coast, lakes and major rivers. To complete this task on time … Show more

“…As part of the lake management planning, this review observes and evaluates actions, which should be followed by necessary re-planning [113], that consider pillar-based and object-based management holistically, for instance, by examining two relevant legal frameworks: the Memorandum of Understanding in 2019 [84] and Presidential Regulation Number 60 of 2021 [7]. Based on the pillar-based lake management review, finance and technology are the least discussed in both frameworks, even though both are key to effective and efficient lake management.…”

“…It can be seen as information, context, skills, values, insight, experiences, a social construct, a tool of influence or a combination of these concepts (Nagel, 2014). In understanding the dynamics around knowledge use in decision-making for OWFs, we use a producer-user perspective, based on the sender-receiver model by Tromp (2019), andTromp et al (2022) (Figure 1). This model builds on the idea that there are research arenas and policy arenas within which separate endeavours operate at geographically dispersed locations (Wiewiora et al 2009).…”
