Abstract:The effect of atomic centre-of-mass motion on the photoionization of a -type atom system is studied. The results show that the two lower states of the -type atom with a given momentum p can form a non-ionization state. Nevertheless, the atomic motion would result in redistribution of the ionization and destruction of the population trapping when the centre-of-mass momenta of the atom have a Gaussian distribution.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
