Abstract:Dental implant surgery is one of the most common oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures performed today. While standard drilling protocols recommended by implant manufacturers can be used for routine cases, routine osteotomies may not be sufficient for implant stability in different bone types or in cases where the bone structure differs due to local or systemic reasons. The use of various modified osteotomy (drilling) protocols to solve such cases contributes positively to primary implant stability.
