“…This agrees with the previous findings [34], [35] which recorded that ginger decreased the concentration of MDA in rats and so decreased the lipid peroxidation. Ginger also given to pregnant women in the first trimester safely [36]. In contrast to our results, Abd-Allah et al [37] observed that using of ginger solution for 6 days in 40 rats showed no effect on MDA level of normal rats.…”

“…The results of this study are in line with research conducted by Adibah (2022) on The Effect of Ginger Herbal Drink on Hyperemesis Gravidarum in the First Trimester Pregnant Women. The average level of emesis gravidarum before the intervention of ginger herbal drink in the intervention group was 2.2083 and 2.2292 in the control group with p value = 0.806 which means there was no difference in the average frequency of emesis gravidarum while after being given the intervention, the average level of emesis gravidarum in the intervention group was 3.4375 and 2.2917 in the control group with p value = 0.000, which means that there is a difference in the average frequency level of emesis gravidarum in the intervention group and the control group after being given the intervention (Abidah et al, 2022).…”

“…A total of 33 articles ( 24 56 ) were included in this paper, of which 24 RCTs ( 24 , 26 – 30 , 33 , 35 , 37 44 , 46 , 49 – 53 , 55 , 56 ) were analyzed for quantitative analysis due to sufficient sample size data. The remaining 9 articles ( 25 , 31 , 32 , 34 , 36 , 45 , 47 , 48 , 54 ) were about side effects, for which there were only descriptive discussions provided due to the small sample size data. Three articles ( 24 , 35 , 37 ) only offered the median and interquartile range, which we algorithmically converted to the mean and standard deviation ( 23 ).…”
