The Effect of Peripheral Contrast Sensitivity Functions on the Performance of the Foveated Wavelet Image Quality Index

Abstract: The Contrast Sensitivity Function (CSF) is an integral part of objective foveated image/video quality assessment metrics. In this paper, we investigate the effect of a new eccentricitydependent CSF model on the performance of the foveated wavelet image quality index (FWQI).
