The effect of platform swinging on a HAPS-CDMA system

Abstract: High Altitude Platform Stations (HAPS) can be affected by stratospheric winds. In this paper, a novel HAPS-CDMA swinging model based on a fixed angle beam forming is presented. And the impacts of the model are examined. From numerical results it is observed that the platform swinging can't be neglected. When swinging angle reaches r, the intra cell interference will increase by 5'%, the inter cell interference will also rise, and the capacity will decline about 12.5'11 0.
