The Effect of Shock Wave Strength on Shock Bubble Interaction

Abstract: The three-dimensional shock-bubble interaction is investigated numerically using high-resolution piecewise parabolic method, in which both the viscous and turbulence effects are considered. The bubble is fixed at the same size and is accelerated by a planar shock wave of different strengths, in which the Mach number (Ma) ranges from 1.2 to 6.0.
