The effect of various types of forest fires on pine resin productivity in Gunung Walat University Forest, Sukabumi, Indonesia

Abstract: Abstract. Dasumiati, Miftahudin, Triadiati T, Hartana A. 2017. Short Communication: Sex types in flowering of Jatropha curcas. Biodiversitas 18: 275-279. Commonly, Jatropha curcas ( jatropha) produces male and female flowers in the different flower. But, the other jatropha have male and hermaphrodite flowers in the different flower. The combination of those flowers in one plant causes sex differentiation in jatropha. This study aimed to identify the sex types of flowers and plant in jatropha, as well as to kn… Show more

“…Environment condition as stimulant factor also takes responsibility to the plant character. Dasumiati et al (2017) reported the differences sex types in flower of Jatropha curcas due to the responsiveness to the environment in two different location. Morphological observation using isoenzyme of 10 Bangka local cassava were given by score based of their band (1) and the absence of band (0), and the score of the group analysis (cluster analysis) was made by using dendrogram.…”

“…The molecular markers were effective technique in genetic analysis and widely applied in the breeding program. Molecular markers include isozyme markers and DNA markers such as RAPD method (Yunus 2007). Priadi et al (2009) stated that SSR markers could be routinely used in breeding programs to verify the paternity of interspecific crosses of cassava.…”

“…Jatropha curcas L., a woody perennial plant, is considered an important biofuel plant with economic value because it contains a high content of seed oil (30−40%) that can be processed into biodiesel and aviation oil [ 38 , 39 , 40 , 41 ]. Typically, Jatropha is monoecious, with separate female and male flowers on the same inflorescence [ 42 , 43 ]. In a previous study, we speculated that JcDAD1 , an ortholog of Arabidopsis thaliana DAD1 , might participate in the abortion of male flowers during the transition from monoecy to gynoecy in Jatropha [ 44 ].…”
