The Effectiveness of Using Youtube in Learning the Art of Music

Abstract

This study aims to obtain data on the effectiveness of the use of Youtube social media in learning the art of music at SMP Negeri 4 Tondano. This research is supported by the theory of the notion of effectiveness, the approach to assessing effectiveness, the notion of social media, the notion of learning, and is supported by relevant research studies. The method or approach used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation, with the research subject being the Principal, Music Art Teacher, and several students. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that learning using youtube media proved to be very effective, especially in conditions of distance learning due to the covid-19 pandemic.
