This chapter describes the antimicrobial properties of the following wild edible plants (i.e. their extracts and seed oils, among other products) from Nigeria: Alchornea cordifolia, Entada africana, Terminalia avicennioides, Chromolaena odorata, Vernonia species, Anchomanes difformis, Acalypha species, Cassia species, Coula edulis, Lasianthera africana, Morinda lucida, Gongronema latifolium, Tapinanthus dodoneifolius, Diospyros mespiliformis, Heinsia crinata, Funtumia species, Mallotus oppositifolius, Phyllanthus discoideus, Cymbopogon citratus, Garcinia kola, Bridelia ferruginea, Calotropis procera, Parkia species, Gynandropsis gynandra [Cleome gynandra], Mitragyna stipulosa, Leptadenia hastata, Buchholzia coriacea, Massularia acuminata, Landolphia owariensis, Spondias mombin, Paullinia pinnata, Cleome rutidosperma and Tetracarpidium conophorum.
