Abstract:In Malaysia, road pavements are frequently damaged by the accumulation of water on the surface caused by heavy rain, due to the humid climate. The presence of water within the asphaltic concrete mixture particles may impede their workability. Exposure towards natural phenomenon such as rain can be the main cause related to the presence of water inside the asphalt pavements.
