The Evolution and Response of Space Utilization Efficiency and Carbon Emissions: A Comparative Analysis of Spaces and Regions

Abstract: Space utilization and climate change are related to human survival and development. Identifying the relationship between development and conservation is the foundation of sustainable development. We used the kernel density curve, spatial analysis, and the sensitivity model to study the spatial use efficiency and carbon emissions evolution characteristics at the provincial and regional levels in China from 1999 to 2019. The results show that a trend of high efficiency and low carbon emissions in southeast coast… Show more

“…In other words, China's carbon dioxide emissions are inversely proportional to its economic integration. Further investigations (Yin et al 2022) have backed this conclusion. However, studies frequently underestimate the influence of economic integration on carbon emission reductions in space, particularly in China.…”

“…Therefore, the positive and negative effects of labor intensity increase of land on carbon emission 6) from Table 5 reveal that the effect of land energy consumption intensity on carbon emissions is significantly positive and the impact on carbon emission efficiency is exceptionally negative. Higher land energy consumption intensity indicates that land use is more inclined to introduce high-energy-consuming enterprises, which are usually accompanied by high pollution and thus increase carbon emissions (Yin et al, 2022). The added value of highenergy-consuming enterprises is typically low.…”

“…Research on the ACEE has mainly focused on dynamic changes, in uencing factors, and spatial correlations (Zhu & Huo, 2022;Xiong et al, 2020;Yin et al, 2022). Effective countermeasures for agricultural carbon sequestration and emissions reduction are provided by discussing regional heterogeneity, spatial spillover effects, and redundancy.…”
