The Experimental Study of Shallow Flows of Liquid on the Airport Runways and Automobile Roads

Abstract: Abstract. Hydroplaning or aquaplaning is associated with the complete loss of the grip of a tyre because of the presence of a water film between the tyres of a moving vehicle (an automobile, an airplane, etc.) and the road surface. In this case, a vehicle becomes uncontrollable. Hydroplaning (aquaplaning) occurs when the speed of a vehicle reaches the critical value, when the wheel does not have time enough for water compulsion, which leads to the formation of a permanent water film between it and the road sur… Show more

“…Authors and experts in the field of wastewater treatment believe that in the soil occurs aerobic posttreatment [17], all the more that, according to the scheme "Descriptions", perforated pipe filter fields are equipped with aerators [25][26][27][28]. Table 1 below systematized proposals to improve the treatment plants of different groups.…”

“…One of the most important aspects of the operation of road surfaces is the coe cient of adhesion or slipperiness obtained on them [6,7,8]. Another unfavourable phenomenon both in the area of roads for motor vehicles and aeroplanes is the problem of aquaplaning [9,10]. Research related to the drainage of road surfaces is presented in [11].…”

“…The same operational problems appear in different fields. It is worth mentioning the problems of aircraft noise assessment, prediction, and control (Zaporozhets, Tokarev, & Attenborough, 2011); estimation of quality parameters in the radio flight support operational system (Solomentsev, Zaliskyi, & Zuiev, 2016); synergy of piloted, remotely piloted and unmanned air systems in single air navigation space (Chepizenko, Kharchenko, & Pavlova, 2013); consequences of shallow flows of liquid on the airport runways and automobile roads (Beljatynskij, Prentkovskis, & Krivenko, 2010).…”
