Abstract:To explore a new approach for the treatment of renal interstitial fibrosis
(RIF), we detected the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP9) and vascular
endothelial growth factor (VEGF). Twenty-four male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats were
randomly divided into 2-week normal control (2NC) group, 4-week NC (4NC) group, 2-
week unilateral ureteral obstruction (2UUO) group, and 4-week UUO (4UUO) group.
